We're seeking an exceptional Art Teacher to join our team! As an Art Teacher, you will demonstrate effective planning, teaching, and organization while maintaining high standards of achievement and behaviour in lessons.

Your responsibilities will include developing and reviewing the school's art curriculum, following assessment procedures, and fostering community links with external providers and specialists. Sharing best practices within and beyond the art department will be key to enriching the learning experience.

Utilising student tracking processes, you will advance children's learning and enhance professional practice in line with the school's aspirations. Additionally, you'll promote cultural entitlement through a variety of enrichment activities during and after school hours.

Set appropriate expectations and clear teaching objectives tailored to students' needs. Inspire creativity through exploration of various art forms and techniques. Provide constructive feedback to help students improve their skills and expand artistic vision. Develop fundamental artistic skills such as drawing, painting, sculpting, and mixed media techniques. Encourage experimentation with different materials, styles, and approaches. Introduce art history and diverse art movements to foster appreciation and understanding. Integrate technology to explore digital art and contemporary mediums. Organize collaborative art projects to promote teamwork and communication skills. Embrace cultural diversity through art, incorporating global influences into lessons. Create a supportive environment for authentic self-expression and confidence building.

Ensure all students make the best possible progress and demonstrate learning in relevant contexts. Encourage active engagement in art activities through questions, sharing ideas, and participation. Foster creativity, imagination, and experimentation with different techniques. Encourage perseverance and growth mindset through challenges. Facilitate analysis and evaluation of artworks to deepen understanding. Promote collaboration, communication, and respect for diverse perspectives.
