Egypt British International School (EBIS) is seeking a qualified and creative Art Teacher to join our team for the 2026 academic year, aligned with our mission of Enriching – Exploring – Excelling and our core values of enrichment, empowerment, esteem, and excellence.
We are looking for a passionate educator who can inspire creativity, imagination, and artistic confidence within a nurturing, culturally grounded British-curriculum environment. The successful candidate will support students’ academic, personal, and creative development while fostering a love for visual arts and self-expression.
Requirements:
● Bachelor’s degree in Art, Fine Arts, Art Education, or a related field with recognized Qualified Teacher Status (QTS).
● A minimum of 2 years of successful teaching experience, preferably within an international British-curriculum context.
● Strong subject knowledge aligned with the UK National Curriculum for Art and Design.
● Demonstrated ability to deliver engaging, practical, and skill-based art lessons.
● Skilled in positive classroom management and maintaining a safe, well-organized studio environment.
● Ability to assess creative work effectively and provide constructive feedback.
● Strong collaboration and communication skills.
Job Description:
● Plan and deliver high-quality Art lessons aligned with National Curriculum objectives.
● Develop students’ artistic techniques, creativity, and critical appreciation of art.
● Maintain a safe, inclusive, and well-resourced art studio environment.
● Assess, monitor, and record student progress, providing timely feedback and support.
● Organize and contribute to art displays, exhibitions, and school-wide creative projects.
● Communicate effectively with parents/guardians regarding progress and wellbeing.
● Collaborate with colleagues on cross-curricular initiatives and whole-school events.
● Promote students’ confidence, independence, and creative expression.
● Attend weekly CPD sessions and contribute to ongoing professional development.
● Contribute to enrichment activities such as art clubs or community art projects.

From September 2015 EBIS introduced a new option based course available for KS4 that included a traditional UK style pathway. Within the appointments this year EBIS is looking for staff that can contribute to that KS4 and eventual KS5 programme.
