Capital City Academy are now seeking to recruit a full time Art Technician to work alongside and support the Visual Arts department reporting to the Curriculum Area leader. This demanding and varied role requires a candidate with some art training, woodworking skills and typing and IT skills, with a working knowledge of Photoshop being an advantage.

The Art Technician will support Curriculum Area leader at Capital City Academy in the following areas: 

  • documentation and organisation of pupil’s work
  • maintaining the daily operation of the studio
  • ordering and receiving supplies
  • preparing for and erecting exhibitions
  • having awareness of Health and Safety regulations
  • collecting materials and transporting exhibits
  • on-going studio organisation
  • liaising with cleaners and maintenance staff 
  • any other ad hoc duties as and when required
