Job overview

We  have an exciting opportunity available for an Art Technician to join us to provide support in the Art & Media workshops and classrooms in a way that supports the lecturing staff and enables students to gain good practical skills.


Providing technical support in the workshops and classrooms whilst classes are in practical sessions, you must ensure that the areas are kept clean, organised and are safe working environments for staff and students and set up specialist equipment when required.


You will be responsible for ordering and taking accurate stock records and inventories for the workshops. You will be responsible for the booking out system for cameras, equipment, stock, folios and Photographic resources and for the preparation of stretchers, armatures, casting equipment and cutting of 3D materials.


With at previous experience working in an Art, Media or similar environment, you must have experience of various aspects of Art e.g. Textiles/Fashion, Multi Media, Photography, Graphics and Fine Art. You will also have experience of organising and maintaining stock, systems and work areas.
