Job overview

Are you ambitious for all our young people and their life chances?  Would you like to benefit from superb professional development opportunities and to work in one of the best equipped schools in the county? If so, then we would be very interested in hearing from you.

The Role

We are seeking to recruit a flexible, hardworking, professional and creative Art Technician. The purpose of the role is to co-ordinate the use and maintenance of practical resources and facilities, supporting teaching staff in the delivery of the curriculum in the Art Department, including assisting with practical lessons and preparing materials and equipment.

The role will be 36 hours per week, term time plus 1 week (39 working weeks).

We want you to be part of our professional, supportive and friendly team. Our recent ‘Good’ Ofsted inspection shows that we are an ambitious and rapidly improving Academy. It also gives us some further insight into how we can continue to work towards becoming an Outstanding school. The full report can be found on our website.

Pupils’ personal development and welfare are good. They are well cared for. – Ofsted April 2017

We are an inclusive employer and are happy to consider flexible working practices, part time or a job share if they will benefit you and the students of the Academy.

About You

You will be flexible and creative preferably with a qualification in Art to degree or equivalent level, but this is not essential. You will have good communication skills and IT skills. You are hardworking and well-organised.
