Job overview
Giggleswick School is seeking to appoint a part time Art Technician with effect from January 2018 working 25 hours per week (term time only).
Whilst the post is predominantly Art Department based we do work closely alongside the Design Department where there is an opportunity to help with projects and use the facilities. Technical support plays a vital role in the preparation and organisation of material for both lessons and project work. The technician will work alongside staff and pupils in this thriving department and in the first instance they will be accountable to the Head of Art. The ability to work on one’s own initiative is also required.
A sound knowledge of computers would be very useful including a knowledge of computer programs such as photoshop. The successful candidate would be expected to have an understanding and interest in creativity; they could be a practising artist and might want to pursue their own work within school outside the Technicians working hours.
