You must have relevant experience working with children or young people with SEND and Autism Spectrum Conditions. We must also be able to obtain full recent references for this ASC  Lead Teacher / Curriculum Coordinator  role.

Vision for Education (part of TES) are a well-respected education specialist supply agency. Our Huddersfield branch covers Kirklees, Calderdale, Bradford and Wakefield.  This particular role is based within a specialist setting in Huddersfield.

Vision for Education are recruiting for this role within a small provision, for either a June or September start, dependent upon candidate availability and the coordinated return of young people to school on a full time basis.

The Role for this ASC  Lead Teacher / Curriculum Coordinator position:

This post requires a staff member with skills teaching Autistic young people and the ability to plan and coordinate delivery for this growing setting.

There will be delivery and hands on teaching, but also a more overarching responsibility for delivery on 1:1 basis, for trips and learning in the community and a diverse education package befitting each young person's needs.

This is a fantastic opportunity for change of setting, or perhaps some increased responsibility and autonomy within an extremely well respected school.

We are seeking an individual for this ASC  Lead Teacher / Curriculum Coordinator  role who holds the highest standards of professionalism, who is flexible, dedicated and has a passion for their work and the young people  they teach. AAC, teaching strategies for SEND work and a good understanding of ASC will be essential. Along with skills in working with and supporting a wider team.

All young people have an EHCP and personalised learning and education plan. This provision caters to young people between KS3 & 5 and is equipped with an excellent team of ETAs, HLTAs. The role reports to the Provision Manager and will also have support from the Head of Education. This ASC  Lead Teacher / Curriculum Coordinator  role is full time Monday to Friday with the view to going on permanent for the right candidate. It may commence on a temporary to permanent (or fixed term basis), there is also a chance that it may commence permanently with probation period from day 1.

To be considered for this ASC  Lead Teacher / Curriculum Coordinator  position you must hold QTS (Qualified Teacher Status)

Team Teach training is advantageous, but Vision offer this to successful candidates at no cost.
