ASC Specialist Base Leader/Director

Oaks Park High SchoolSutton

Oaks Park High School, Carshalton, Surrey

ASC Specialist Base Leader/Director up to £65k (Outer London Pay Scale)

Required for September 2021

We are looking for an innovative and highly effective leader to lead our well-established specialist autism base (Horizon) that forms part of our mainstream secondary school.  You would work closely with the whole school leadership team to ensure an excellent provision for our base students.  You may have experience as a SENCO within primary or secondary mainstream or have held responsibility within a specialist setting.  This post will provide excellent experience for future promotion.

The Horizon Leader role attracts a TLR 1.2 allowance plus SEN 1.  However, there is the potential for enhanced duties for those that have the skills, experience and capacity to contribute to SEN and staff training across the school.  The enhanced post, Horizon Director, would be paid at the Leadership scale L12 – L16.

Oaks Park High School is a rapidly improving school of 1200 students with excellent facilities.  The school joined Cheam Academies Network in September 2019 and has established strong working relationships with its sister school, Cheam High School, an outstanding school of 2000 students.  Both schools are oversubscribed and sited in the London Borough of Sutton, approximately 10 minutes driving distance apart.

This is a very exciting opportunity to join a forward looking and proactive Trust with an outstanding track record.  This post will provide the opportunity for considerable career development and will provide a strong basis for further promotion.

Applications must be submitted on our school application form. Please see our school website for more information.
