We are looking for:
An outstanding teacher, with experience of working with children with Special Educational
Needs, particularly autism and complex needs, including significant communication
Someone who is committed to the high achievement of pupils with SEN, in an inclusive
Someone who can work effectively in partnership with colleagues and parents;
A team player who is creative, flexible and willing to undertake further training and
Our ASD Resourced Provision is a strength within the school and has a dedicated, caring team of teachers and support staff who are committed to providing outstanding provision in an inclusive setting for children with additional needs. Each students’ bespoke curriculum is based on stage, not age, and is carefully adapted to their individual needs and capabilities.
Ofsted said in May 2019, that ‘Pupils in the primary specially resourced provision make very strong progress. This is because leaders ensure that members of staff provide pupils with bespoke support that enables them to learn successfully’.
Langdon Academy is a large 4-16 school, with over 2000 students and is part of Brampton Manor Trust, along with Brampton Manor Academy (an outstanding 11-18 Academy).
The successful candidate will contribute to the development of teaching and learning within the ASD provision in primary and within the wider Special Educational Needs Team. A TLR may be offered for a suitably qualified and experienced colleague to take on additional responsibility within the department.
