Are you a graduate considering a future in teaching?

Looking for hands-on classroom experience before committing to Initial Teacher Training? The Academy, Selsey is offering one exciting opportunity to join our Aspiring Educators Programme — a one-year, full-time, term-time-only post designed to provide aspiring teachers with real-world school experience in a supportive and ambitious setting. 

About the Role

As part of this programme, you'll take on the responsibilities of a Classroom Supervisor, including:

● Delivering pre-prepared lessons to classes when teachers are absent

● Supporting students in their learning and maintaining a purposeful classroom environment

● Assisting with tutor time, break duties, and wider school life

● Engaging with training and development opportunities to prepare for teacher training

This is a unique opportunity to:

● Work alongside experienced teachers in a vibrant and supportive school

● Gain invaluable insight into school life and the teaching profession

● Receive weekly mentoring and professional development

● Build a strong foundation for your application to teacher training or join our TKAT SCITT programme in Year 2

We're seeking a graduate who:

TERMS OF EMPLOYMENT

A formal contract will be issued once the successful applicant has been appointed. It will be offered subject to a

Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check and appropriate references.
