Assessment Manager

Do you aspire to be part of a role-modelling team, giving millions the vital support they need to unlock their potential and succeed?

Do you enjoy managing the creation and delivery of online, on-demand digital testing that directly influences learners worldwide?

We are Cambridge University Press & Assessment, a world-leading academic publisher and assessment organisation and a proud part of the University of Cambridge.

This is your opportunity to join an expanding, innovative team at the cutting edge of test design. You'll work with colleagues across the company and external partners to create the next generation of multi-level language testing and drive new product innovation.

About the role

This is an opportunity to make a significant contribution to the future success of the International Education business, at a time of considerable change.

As an Assessment Manager for English language qualifications, you will manage the production of assessment content for next-generation, customer-focused, data-driven, and automated digital assessment products. You will contribute to the production of high-quality assessment through work on Multi-Level Testing (MLT) products from test design, materials production, live use, and marking/results.

You will apply your ELT expertise and knowledge of Assessment to the work of MLT, and contribute to the production and delivery of assessments, processes and projects within Assessment and across Cambridge English.

This is your opportunity to use your EFL/ESL teaching and assessment expertise to impact on learners around the world. If you don't want to miss out, please take a look at the job description attached at the end of the advert. We want to hear from you.

This position has been classified as a hybrid role, requiring the selected candidate to typically spend 40-60% of their time collaborating and connecting face-to-face at their dedicated location. Aside from our hybrid principles, other flexible working requests will be considered from the first day of employment, including other work arrangements should you require adjustments due to a disability or long-term health condition.

About You
You are proactive, adaptable, and self-motivated, with practical English language teaching experience and a recognised EFL/ESL teaching qualification. You have a degree (or equivalent), strong communication and interpersonal skills, and a keen eye for detail. Confident in evaluating texts and test questions, you bring sound planning, prioritisation, and decision-making abilities, and are comfortable interpreting data and statistics.

If you meet these requirements, we encourage you to apply.

Desirable:

  • Experience in busy, complex environments

  • Ability to follow compliance procedures

  • Calm under pressure and flexible around change

  • Commitment to confidentiality, EDIB (Equality Diversity Inclusivity and Belonging), and team well-being

  • Experience supporting and training colleagues or external partners
