Job overview

We are seeking to appoint an Assessment, Data and Examinations Officer, as the principle SIMS expert for the school, the successful applicant will have prior experience with both data set management within SIMS and exam and results’ day experience. Your key responsibilities will include co-ordinating all areas of the school’s management information systems to prepare strategic and operational data and analysis reports, and to ensure that all statutory requirements are met within the timeframes. 

Key duties will include responsibility for producing accurate returns to examination boards and you will be required to coordinate internal and external examinations in the academy. This includes the preparation and issue of examination papers, entering pupils for examinations, assisting with statistical returns, liaising with awarding bodies and co-ordinating invigilation arrangements. Along with providing administrative support on all aspects relating to examination procedures, including liaison with students, parents, staff, invigilators, examining bodies and SLT

You will also be required to assist with data input, management, retrieval and production of reports based on student achievements and examination results, to analyse, check data and to update all relevant school documentation for a wide range of users within the academy and have specific responsibility for managing all data.  

In order to be considered for this role you will need to be a good communicator and hold a good standard of education with either a secretarial or IT qualification (essential) and have at least 3 years’ experience in an office based administrative role with a school. You should have the ability to manage complex information systems. You must also be eligible to work in the UK
