Job overview
This position is four days per week to cover maternity leave until October 2022.
Fabulous opportunity to join the Derby College Group as an Assessor in Dental Nursing level three apprenticeships. You will be working in the people services, care and digital apprenticeship team.
The role is made up of one day a week teaching with three days assessing. You will need to be qualified to level 4 within your sector and have the A1 award or equivalent.
Excellent administration and interpersonal skills together with a commitment to working effectively as part of a team are essential in this role. You will be a passionate and highly motivated professional who can consistently deliver inspirational learning and assessment as well as drive high standards and develop students' employability and practical skills.
Our apprentices at the moment are local to Derby and some assessing can be remote.
About Derby College
Derby College is a large general further education college with four sites in or near the city of Derby. It supports around 26,000 learners, who choose from more than 1,000 full-time and part-time apprenticeship, A-level, BTEC and NVQ courses.
Derby College was established as a single institution in 2002 by merging three further education colleges: Mackworth Tertiary College, Wilmorton Tertiary College and Broomfield Agricultural College. A merger between South East Derbyshire College and Derby College was approved in 2010. Heavy investment has been made by the college in its teaching and learning facilities, from the fully equipped teaching kitchens at the Roundhouse campus to the high-tech science labs at the Joseph Wright Centre and the Equestrian Centre at the Broomfield Hall campus.
