Assessor/Lecturer – Civil Engineering    Post No: LB121CE
Salary up to £36,791 per annum, pro rata where appropriate (depending on qualification status)

The Construction and Built Environment curriculum area serves a wide array of leading employers in the region.  It provides specialist training to Advanced Apprentices in Civil Engineering and Building Services Engineering, and full time courses for Level 3 learners motivated to enter the construction industry in a range of professional roles.  Solihull College also provides a range of related Higher Education courses which serve as attractive progression opportunities for graduating Apprentices and full time Level 3 learners.

Due to the success and continuing growth of Apprenticeships in Civil Engineering, an exciting opportunity has emerged for the right person to join our team of Work-based Assessors. The successful applicant will be a self-motivated and professional person and will join a dynamic and growing team delivering Advanced Apprenticeships in Civil Engineering for Technicians at a range of leading employers in the region.  The successful candidate will assess the Edexcel Level 3 Diploma in Civil Engineering for Technicians, have industrial experience within a field relating to Civil Engineering and ideally possess an appropriate Assessor qualification.  Applications from experienced Assessors from construction backgrounds, or from construction professionals looking to move into a work-based assessment role, are highly encouraged.
