Variable hours    

£10.85 - £11.85 per hour   

We are seeking assessors to support higher level apprentices studying business and management subjects. You will have relevant management experience and expertise with proven occupational competency as an accountant or a project manager or human resources professional. 

Your experience will be complimented by one of the following qualifications:   AAT Level 4, CIPD Level 5 or 7, ILM Level 5 or 7 or CMI Level 5, 6 or 7. The purpose of this role is to support and guide apprentices to achieve timely success. You will visit workplaces to carry out observations and professional discussions and assess portfolios for one of the following new apprenticeship standards:

 • Chartered Manager (CMI) Level 6

 • Operational/Departmental Manager (ILM) Levels 3 or 5 

• HR Consultant/Partner (CIPD) Levels 3 or 5

 • Associate Project Manager (APM) Level 4 

• Professional Accounting Taxation Technician (AAT) Level 3 or 4 

Hours are flexible and we welcome applicants who wish to retain their existing professional role whilst working for Chichester College.  

You will have an A1 Assessors Award or equivalent or be willing to acquire this qualification and a PGCE, or equivalent teaching qualification would be desirable.  

The ability to travel independently between work placements throughout Sussex and Surrey is essential.

Chichester College is a mixed, non-selective, non-denominational, general further education college situated in West Sussex. It is a 16-plus institution with two main sites in Chichester and Pulborough, plus further outreach centres in Bognor Regis, Littlehampton and Worthing. It has links to local employers, most of a small to medium size. 

Chichester College of Arts, Science and Technology, as it was formerly known, opened in 1964. Chichester College has been offering work-based training since 1996. It has approximately 10,897 part-time learners and 3,732 full-time students.
