This is an exciting opportunity to join an innovative, dynamic team working to produce top-class assessments. This role would suit an experienced English / Social Sciences specialist looking for a new challenge.
What it’s about
The position will involve supporting the management of a range of qualifications in English and Social Sciences for assessment products such as Cambridge International A Level, Pre-U, IGCSE and O Level.
What you’ll be doing
You’ll be contributing to the management of question paper production processes, and working with Assessment Managers, subject specialists and consultants on the production of test specifications, sample and live assessment material. You’ll be checking, proof-reading and ensuring the quality of question papers and mark schemes, as well as helping to oversee teams of examiners to ensure that assessments are accurately marked and graded. You will also be responsible for some of the administrative arrangements required for the timely delivery of results.
What we’re looking for
Enthusiastic team players who are self-motivated and supportive of others as well as proactive. You’ll be a graduate, ideally with experience in teaching (possibly in an international context) and knowledge of assessment issues. You will possess sound judgment and have excellent organisational, communication and planning skills. A keen problem solver with meticulous accuracy, you’ll have a proven ability to manage your workload when under pressure to meet multiple deadlines and will enjoy contributing to the success of Cambridge International Examinations.
A background in teaching/assessment in English Literature or a Social Sciences subject(s) will be an advantage.
