Education BA social sciences and/or SEN qualification

An exciting opportunity has arisen for an Assistant Behavioural Lead to support effective self-regulation by pupils and facilitate positive behaviour management across the school under the guidance of the Behaviour Specialist. You are expected to address behavioural issues of pupils and gather information to understand the function of the behaviour and to assist the Behaviour Specialist with data collection, classroom observations, and on-call support. You will be expected to:

Maintain high-quality behaviour interventions that enhance the mental health and wellbeing of all pupils and staff.

 Offer behaviour management support and best practices in autism awareness to pupils and staff.

 Work with a diverse range of issues including transitions, eating disorders, self-harm, depression, anger management, erratic behaviour, anxiety, and fears.

Participate in professional consultations with the class team to gather information and write ABC data to support pupils with behavioural and emotional issues.

Promote a caring and supportive environment to explore concerns and promote mental and emotional health.

Be alert to trends and patterns of problems, identify causes, and recommend corrective actions.

Attend meetings or discussions with parents, accompanied by the Behaviour Specialist if appropriate and within agreed confidentiality guidelines; this may include home visits.

You will be an enthusiastic and caring individual to support our young people with a range of general or complex learning and behavioural needs including autistic spectrum disorder.
