Wymondham College Prep School opened in September 2020 on the site of Wymondham College, with two Reception classes, a total of 60 pupils. In September 2021 we opened our doors to our very new Prep School building, as well as our new boarding facilities, Underwood Hall.
We believe that every child deserves to be provided with outstanding quality, not only in education but also in the services provided. To facilitate this, we are seeking to appoint an Assistant Cook who will support in the provision of catering services throughout the school day.
THE POST
We are looking for a positive and hard-working Assistant Cook to join the team at Wymondham College Prep School on a permanent basis and support the growing catering team.
The successful candidate will be responsible for:
- The production and service of meals and refreshments throughout the school day;
- Catering for all school functions and courses held both during the school term and non-term time;
- Assists in the preparation of Prep School and College meals;
- Manages use and care of and equipment;
- Ensures staff and kitchen hygiene requirements are met;
- Ensures Health and Safety at work requirements are met;
- Assist in the training of new staff;
- Any other reasonable tasks as directed by the Kitchen Manager.
