Assistant Curriculum Leader of Humanities - Geography Specialism

We have an opportunity for a highly creative, dynamic and motivated Teacher in Humanities with a specialism in Geography, with a commitment to academic excellence and student success. Working as part of a team and alongside the faculty leader, you will play an important role in delivering and developing the Academy’s Humanities department. You will plan and deliver high quality lessons and be committed to achieving excellent results for all students, inspiring in them to have a passion for geography and the desire to learn and succeed.

You will have a good track record of excellent classroom practice and sustained added value outcomes for students.  We would welcome applications from experienced Geography teachers seeking to develop their potential within a supportive faculty.

The successful candidate will:

• Be passionate about their subject bringing energy and enthusiasm to the students they teach.
• Be able to teach across the age and ability range, demonstrating excellent subject knowledge with the ability to inspire and motivate students to enable them to achieve their full potential.
• Have a strong understanding of the Humanities curriculum at KS3 & KS4 ( particularly Geography) and contribute to our extra-curricular programme.
