Job overview
Medway is home to ambitious and far-reaching regeneration activity and is rapidly becoming one of the most exciting places to live, work, learn and visit in the south east. Excellent transport links, affordable living, a thriving business sector, excellent primary, secondary and further education facilities, a vibrant annual cultural and festival programme and stunning heritage and green spaces are just some of the reasons why more people are moving to Medway.
We are committed to providing the best quality education and support for children and families, securing good outcomes and effective transition to adulthood. We want to ensure that the potential of our children and young people can flourish – equipping them with the skills and knowledge that they need to achieve their very best.
We are looking for someone with an excellent track record of delivery in an education and children’s services environment with the ability to lead large scale projects and provide challenge and support to senior leaders across Medway.
Working closely with school leaders across all phases, you’ll help to strengthen partnerships that encourage greater consistency and collaboration to raise attainment. You’ll have a key role to play in promoting inclusion and integrated working across education, health and social care, supporting better outcomes for all children. Building trust and rapport with school leaders will be vital to bringing about change, so a proven professional track record in school improvement and a detailed knowledge of the current and emerging agenda in the sector is essential.
