Outwood Grange Academies Trust is looking to appoint an experienced and exceptional candidate to the role of Assistant Director of Capital, to manage the delivery of projects within the Trust’s capital programme, and contribute to the delivery of the Trust’s capital strategy. 

The successful candidate will be the deputy to the Trust’s Director of Capital, and will thrive on the challenges of working in a small capital team to deliver significant change and capital improvements to the Trust’s estate, particularly in relation to condition, compliance and capacity. 

Previous experience of the Client Lead role in a MAT or LA setting across a number of moderate to large value capital projects is essential, as is experience of influencing outcomes from multidisciplinary consultants and project teams, senior stakeholder consultation, and liaison with and direction of academies and schools in relation to capital and construction projects. 

There is a full person specification to indicate the requirements to deliver this rewarding and challenging role, but in addition aspiring applicants will need to have high levels of energy and drive, have a full and valid driving license and enjoy the opportunity and requirement for daily travel to the Trust’s sites across a wide geographical area as and when required. The Trust is continually growing and currently has 37 academies across four geographical regions.
