We are seeking to recruit a dynamic Assistant Director of English. In this role, you will assume strategic lead for the development of Key Stage 3 and contribute to the progress of the department on its journey to outstanding. You will work closely with the Director of English and the wider English team. You will lead, develop and support innovative and outstanding practice across Key Stage 3, and play a pivotal role in developing literacy and the school library.
Our ideal candidate will have a proven track record of success within a secondary school setting as well as a proactive, flexible and enthusiastic approach. You will bring the innovation and commitment to promote effective teaching and learning, providing support for colleagues and raise student outcomes. You’ll inspire and challenge your students so they develop into highly effective, independent learners and achieve their potential. You will be an aspiring Director of English.
The successful candidate will also be encouraged and fully supported to gain national professional qualifications as well as access to a full range of in-house CPD.
