Ashville College is seeking to appoint an Assistant Director of Prep School, Pastoral, Welfare and Enrichment to join the EYFS and KS1 team. 

The primary aim of this role is to provide professional leadership and management of the pastoral, welfare and enrichment teams within the Pre-Prep to help ensure that APS Pre-Prep is a positive, secure and happy environment where each child can thrive and flourish.

The post is a 50% Management role and 50% Teaching role.

Ashville College is a co-educational, independent school for day and boarding pupils aged 2–18. The college, set in Harrogate, North Yorkshire, comprises a pre-school, prep school and senior school with pupil numbers totaling around 870, 170 of whom are in the sixth form and 100 are boarders. The school is a registered charity, administered by Ashville College Trustees.

Ashville College was founded in 1877 as a boarding school for boys by the United Methodist Free Church. Expansion over the decades culminated in a merger with Elmfield College, Harrogate, in the 1930s, by which time Ashville was the largest private school in the north of England.   The most significant development came in 1982 when the school become co-educational.
