St Joseph’s is set to further strengthen its position both regionally and nationally through the appointment of an Assistant Director of Sport - Head of Girls’ Sport. The candidate will be joining the College and department at a key moment in time . St Joseph’s has a performance sports programme, focusing on its major sports: Rugby, Netball, Football and Cricket; Each performance sport is supported by an extensive team including professional coaching staff, sports science personnel and a range of elite club stakeholders. 

We are seeking to appoint an ambitious, forward thinking and enthusiastic individual to join our dynamic team. The person appointed will be the figurehead of Girls’ Sport at the College and will have responsibility for academic Physical Education. 

The role will involve coaching major team sports, as well as teaching core and academic Physical Education from 3-18 years old.   Candidates will have experience of participating in team sports to a high level and will ideally hold at least a UKCC Level 2 in one of the College’s performance sports. Furthermore, the candidate should have experience of leadership within a department and managing high profile external stakeholders. With oversight for academic Physical Education, the candidate will also be able to evidence experience of managing the GCSE and Post 16 curriculum. 

This position is full-time, with a requirement to work some Saturdays during term time.
