Worth School is seeking to appoint a full-time, dynamic and highly motivated Assistant Director of Sport from September 2023. The role will work closely with the Director of Sport, department members and other school colleagues to establish and maintain the promotion of excellence as well as maximising pupil participation. Being a team player with excellent communication, organisational and interpersonal skills is essential as well as the ability to lead and inspire pupils of all ages. An ability to also fulfil the role of Head of Hockey would be an advantage.
The Assistant Director of Sport will be responsible for the non-major sports (Lacrosse, Squash, Fencing, Cross Country, Swimming, Basketball and Fitness based options), and the core PE programme, in liaison with the Director of Sport. They will also have a remit to develop further participation opportunities in a wide variety of physical activities. The ability to teach an academic subject is desirable.
