The People Services Portfolio brings together children’s and adult’s services into a single all-age service, focused on supporting the learning, health, wellbeing, safety and economic prosperity of the people of Sheffield. 

Our key focus is on prevention and inclusion enabling all citizens, including children and young people, to access services easily in order to meet their full potential.

This post sits within the Education and Skills Service with specific responsibility for leading and delivering an ambitious education strategy for the city.

It requires the individual to work effectively across all learning organisations including early years settings, schools, academies and post 16 providers.

We are seeking to recruit an ambitious, highly motivated individual with an extensive background in leadership, either in schools or the education sector.

The person appointed will have the passion, knowledge and experience to drive forward excellent services for all children in the city.

The successful candidate is likely to have a proven track record in change management, within the education system, demonstrate impact in improved performance and have excellent skills in collaboration and communication.
