Job overview

We are looking to appoint an Assistant Facilities Manager to assist in the day-to-day management of facilities across the Trust’s sites. The role will include security, caretaking, and the maintenance of premises.

The successful candidate will work with a professional, can-do and proactive approach, having had supervisory or management experience. They will be someone who takes pride in providing an environment that is safe, healthy, clean, and secure for our pupils, staff and visitors. They will also be highly effective and thrive in a varied role where no day is the same.

Previous school experience is desirable, as is Health and Safety and Building compliance knowledge. Relevant trade experience, such as carpentry or building, is a key advantage.

In return, you will enjoy a unique working environment in the heart of the Weald of Kent. There is an independent nursery based on the school site.

About Homewood School and Sixth Form Centre

Homewood School & Sixth Form Centre is a mixed 11 – 18 wide ability school with Academy status with 2,100 students including 350 in the Sixth Form. We are part of Tenterden Schools’ Trust working in collaboration with local primary schools serving the Wealden town of Tenterden and the surrounding villages. The school is situated on the edge of Tenterden and enjoys a large semi-rural site overlooking open countryside.
