Under recent new leadership, the academy continues to go from strength to strength, with happy and motivated staff, a supportive culture and plenty of opportunities for personal growth with our excellent staff CPD offer. We offer a range of benefits including United Rewards, covering lifestyle and retail benefits including childcare vouchers, a car lease scheme, cycle to work etc., subsidised meals and an on-site gym which is free for all staff to use.

The Role

Are you looking for a new challenge in an exciting and fast paced finance team?  Are you able work efficiently and effectively under pressure?  If so, we would like to hear from you.

This is a key role in our busy finance team, providing support and assistance to the academy’s Finance Manager.  The finance department provides year-round support to the leadership and management of the academy, ensuring value for money and best practice at all times.

This role is initially a 12-month fixed term contract, however it may become a permanent role.

About You

You will have excellent standards in numeracy and literacy and will have prior experience of working in a financial environment.  You will be proficient in data entry and have experience and success with debt collection.

You will be able to form and maintain appropriate professional relationships with students and adults working in the school and will provide a positive and welcoming point of contact for parents, visitors and staff.  You will enjoy the challenge of contributing positively to the work, ethos and values of the academy and be willing to go above and beyond in this important role.

United Learning

Kettering Buccleuch Academy is part of United Learning, a large, and growing, group of schools aiming to offer a life changing education to children and young people across England.

Our schools work as a team and achieve more by sharing than any single school could. Our subject specialists, our Group-wide intranet, our own curriculum and our online learning portal all help us share knowledge and resource, helping to simplify work processes and manage workloads for an improved work-life balance.

As a Group, we can reward our staff better: with good career opportunities, better pay, benefits, and ultimately, the satisfaction of helping children to succeed. We invest in our staff wellbeing. Our academies each have at least eight INSET days per year (with three of those solely dedicated to planning), and an ongoing group-wide wellbeing programme. It's an ethos we call ‘the best in everyone’.
