Byron College in Athens, Greece is a leading British International School. Our student body, of 550 students from EYFS 1 to Year 13, is made up of more than 50 different nationalities and we are proud of our inclusive ethos and culture.

As we look to move to a new site, and from two-form entry to three-form entry, we are looking to expand our Senior Leadership Team (SLT). This is a whole school role with key responsibilities to be decided based on applicants’ strengths and areas of experience. We are particularly interested in candidates with experience leading Operations (enrichment, trips, events, extra-curricular activities, calendar, marketing), Digital Strategy, or Learning and Teaching (data analysis, reporting, appraisal, line management of middle leaders, curriculum design and development, coaching).

APPOINTMENT PROCESS AND HOW TO APPLY 

As part of our 'Safer Recruitment Policy' applications must be made through the TES portal and submitted in English. A CV can be attached in addition to the application form but not as an alternative. Applications whereby the application form is not complete will be rejected. All offers of employment are provisional until the satisfactory screening of independent references and the appropriate criminal records checks. We may also undertake additional steps including social media checks.

Please provide the names and emails of 3 referees, one of whom should be your current Headteacher or Principal. References will be requested for all shortlisted candidates so please indicate if you do not wish your current employer to be contacted at this time.

• The closing date for applications is Friday 5th January.

• Long list interviews will take place from Wednesday 10th – Wednesday 17th January 2024

• Short list interviews will take place 24th-26th January 2024

Important notes:

Greek Applicants - You must hold a relevant degree and have completed the registry of teachers for private schools (Epetirida), or hold the qualifications to do so. Please note that international qualifications are not recognised as qualified teacher status for Greek candidates within Greece.

International Applicants - You must hold a relevant Degree from the same country as your passport. You must also hold a relevant teaching qualification (QTS with completed NQT or equivalent) again from the country of your passport. Please note that the iPGCE is not currently recognised in Greece & Language Qualifications such as TESOL & DELTA are not accepted.
