The school wishes to recruit an Assistant Head to become a member of the Senior Leadership Team and help to shape the future for children to achieve successful adult lives. This is an exciting opportunity to take on a leadership post that is well supported and involves high levels of autonomy.
ROLE SPECIFICATION
The Assistant Head will have pastoral, academic and operational oversight for the lower section of the school (Nursery to Year 3). They will promote a caring and happy atmosphere throughout the school and ensure effective management of department resources, in order to provide the most efficient learning opportunities for the pupils. The Assistant Head will report to the Deputy Head and the Headmaster.
PERSON SPECIFICATION
The successful candidate for this challenging and rewarding position will have at least five years’ teaching experience in prep or primary schools and will most probably be in a middle management position. A university degree and teaching qualification from a recognised academic institution is essential.
