The College is currently seeking applications for the leadership position of Assistant Head of Faculty - Languages to commence Term 1, 2022. The Assistant Head of Faculty works closely with the Head of Faculty to ensure the ongoing development and supervision of the curriculum and the quality of teaching and learning that is provided to each student within the Languages Faculty.

In addition to demonstrating strong leadership capabilities the successful applicant will be an outstanding teacher of French across Years 7-12. The ability to teach Italian, Latin or Classical Greek would be seen as an advantage.

SELECTION CRITERIA

  • Appropriate teaching qualifications and eligibility to teach in NSW
  • Appropriate graduate and/or postgraduate qualifications
  • Demonstrated leadership capabilities with a well-developed understanding of contemporary educational issues and pedagogical approaches related to the faculty and broader school context
  • Outstanding classroom teacher of French across Years 7-12, the ability to teacher Italian, Latin or Classical Greek  would be seen as an advantage
  • Demonstrated understanding of and a commitment to the Mission and Values of the College
  • Demonstrated commitment to continuous improvement and professional development
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills
  • High level administrative and organisational skills
  • Willingness to contribute to the co-curriculum programs at the College
  • Hold a current Working with Children Check and be committed to safeguarding and promoting the safety, welfare and well-being of children and young people
