Aston Community Education Trust are a forward thinking and ambitious multi-academy trust, comprising of three secondary academies and nine junior academies across the Rotherham, Sheffield and north Derbyshire areas.
We are seeking to appoint a suitably qualified Assistant Head of Faculty to provide professional leadership and management within the Science faculty, in order to secure high quality teaching, the effective use of resources and improved standards of learning and achievement of all students.
Specific areas of responsibility within the faculty will include being able to teach physics up to KS5; additional responsibilities will be negotiated with the successful candidate.

Successful candidates will be subject to a DBS check at the appropriate level. Aston Academy is a mixed, comprehensive, non-denominational secondary school with sixth form situated in Swallownest, Sheffield. It is supported by the multi-academy Aston Community Education Trust, which provides specialist staff and expertise for three secondary schools and nine Junior. Aston is a larger than the average-sized secondary, Aston Academy provides 1,800 places for students aged 11-18, when fully subscribed.
Aston Community Education Trust was formed in May 2011 when Aston Academy, previously known as Aston Comprehensive School, converted to academy status.
