Assistant Head of Girls Boarding

Repton Dubai is seeking an Assistant Head of Girls Boarding to start August 2021.

Main Tasks*

  • To act ‘in loco parentis’ to all pupils in the house and ensure the health, safety, happiness and well-being of every pupil
  • To undertake rostered week night and weekend duties, inclusive of leading weekend excursions.  A willingness to help plan such excursions and activities would also be advantageous
  • To effectively manage the tutor team when on duty and provide guidance and support as required
  • To ensure parents and pupils understand the aims and objectives of boarding in the house, and the principles on which community life in the house is based
  • To be aware of the implications of the National Minimum Standards for Boarding Schools regarding welfare and pastoral care of boarding students.

Successful candidates will:

  • Hold a Bachelors degree in the subject directly relevant to teaching specialism plus PGCE
  • Ideally have minimum 2 years post qualification experience
  • Have experience teaching in a UK setting or renowned British Curriculum / IB international school
  • Be at least 24 years old
