About the School

Wesgreen International School was founded in 1991 in Sharjah, and in the years since it has grown to become one of the most successful schools in the area. The School has been advancing excellence in education for more than two decades and has been recognized by the Council of International Schools as an accredited school.

The school will have a focus on high academic standards, computational thinking, social and emotional Education as well as inclusivity to allow all students to succeed through a range of academic and vocational pathways.

The School is divided into four separate sections. The Early Years School from Nursery to Grade 1 is based at the Al Qarain Campus. The Primary School accommodates students from Grade 2 to Grade 4. At the end of Grade 4, students move to either the Boys’ or Girls’ Secondary School. The Boys' and Girls' Secondary Schools cater for Grade 5 to Grade 13. The Administration Department is housed on the Secondary Boys’ Campus.

About the Role

We are seeking to appoint an inspiring Assistant Headteacher of Girls' Secondary to join our school community as soon as possible. As one of the best schools in Sharjah, we are looking for a new colleague to work closely with the Headteacher to ensure our Girls become the young leaders, scientists, doctors, lawyers, engineers, architects and artists of the future.

We are looking for someone who has a track record of outstanding classroom practice and the ability to lead improvement in academic standards and student outcomes. As a member of SLT, the Assistant Headteacher will play an important role in the overall leadership and management of the school. In particular, you will work closely with the Head of Secondary to lead and develop outstanding teaching and learning across the school.
