Since becoming an academy in September 2009, Kettering Buccleuch Academy has seen many exciting changes. We are an all-through academy catering for students aged 4-18. We moved into our new, purpose-built building in January 2013. The academy continues to go from strength to strength, with happy and motivated staff, a supportive culture and plenty of opportunities for personal growth with our excellent staff CPD offer. We offer a range of benefits including our wellbeing and workload manifesto, Perkbox, covering lifestyle and retail benefits including childcare vouchers, a car lease scheme, cycle to work etc., subsidised meals and an on-site gym which is free for all staff to use.

We welcome visits to our school so that you can experience the unique ethos of Kettering Buccleuch Academy for yourself.

Kettering Buccleuch Academy is part of United Learning, a large, and growing, group of schools aiming to offer a life-changing education to children and young people across England. United Learning is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of all children and young people and expects all staff and volunteers to share this commitment. All positions are subject to an Enhanced Disclosure and Barring check from the Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) and shortlisted candidates will be subject to an online check.

The role

An exciting opportunity has arisen with our MFL department. We seek a motivated, passionate and committed teacher of Spanish to play a significant part within a dedicated and supportive team. The ability to teach French as well would be advantageous but is not essential. You will be working in and making significant contributions to a team that is committed to continually raising standards.

This is an outstanding opportunity to join a successful academy. We are driven by a forward thinking philosophy and a vibrant, positive culture. In a friendly and welcoming school, with supportive colleagues, you’ll be able to make a real impact on our academy and on the lives of the students here.  We offer excellent opportunities for professional development to help you further your career and a supportive and friendly environment in which our staff have plenty of opportunity to grow and develop.

About You

You will have Qualified Teacher Status. You’re an inspiring practitioner with a proven track record of success within a secondary school setting. You are looking for a leadership position who is passionate and knowledgeable about teaching and learning.

You are a teacher who consistently teaches high quality lessons. You will have good interpersonal skills, sound behaviour management skills and have the highest expectations for what our students can achieve.
