We are looking for an individual who

We are unashamedly academic. We will provide outstanding teaching and a curriculum which develops essential knowledge, attitudes, skills and habits, together with access to wide ranging opportunities for subject enhancement. These will combine to ensure that every child at Laurus Ryecroft is in a position to make outstanding progress and open the door to the future of their choice.

The school will open in September 2018 for 150 Year 7 students initially in temporary accommodation, growing year on year to full capacity of 1,050 students. In addition to this the school will have a sixth form of 300 students. The school will replicate the outstanding provision offered by the Laurus Trust founding school, Cheadle Hulme High School (CHHS), in Stockport. Our leaders passionately believe in creating a supportive culture where all our staff can develop and thrive. Our staff tell us “It is a privilege to work in the Laurus Trust. I feel that our hard work is recognised, valued and appreciated by the leadership team and opportunities to further develop professionally are promoted and encouraged” (Head of Science, CHHS.)
In 2015 our Ofsted report stated:
- Leaders at every level share a passion for students to succeed and for the school to be a beacon of excellence within the community.
- Staff at the school are extremely well led.
- Staff remarked “not only are the students looked after, so are we”
