Job overview

This is an exciting opportunity for an ambitious and talented candidate to play a key role in the strategic development of our growing Sixth Form.

The Assistant Head (Sixth Form) takes responsibility for the strategic leadership of all aspects of the Sixth Form. This will include managing the Sixth Form team, overseeing their delivery of Sixth Form programmes and taking responsibility for the academic, pastoral and co-curricular progress of Sixth Form students, as well as the overall strategy for student retention and recruitment.

The successful candidate will enjoy a dynamic and supportive environment where the focus is on high academic standards and personalised pastoral care.

The Sixth Form enjoys its own area within the school where our ambitious girls are able to discover their own ways of working, supported by an engaged Sixth Form Team. Academic results have increased year on year and support for Progression and Futures (our bespoke UCAS and Careers provision) gives our girls tailored advice and support to ensure they move on to the universities and companies that are right for them.

To be considered for this role, suitable candidates will need successful teaching experience in a range of settings, up to and including A Level, with experience of curriculum leadership and management and experience in pastoral care and student management.
