It is an exciting time to be joining us as we witness the hard work invested into our Key Stage 4 outcomes and a really thriving school.   In 2018 we joined the then recently formed Bishop Fraser Trust, a C of E multi academy trust, providing a great opportunity to work closely with the two outstanding schools in the MAT - St James’s C of E High School and Canon Slade School, sharing good practice and building on the significant progress that has been taking place over the past three years at BSCA. BSCA is a caring environment intent on delivering our school values and vision for all.

The schools of The Bishop Fraser Trust aim to offer:

  • Inspire, challenge and support others to enable them to be the best they can be;
  • Drive the academy’s vision and expectations to have a significant impact on students’ life chances sharing our ethos that ‘no child is left behind’;
  • Be an outstanding leader, teacher and role model for all;
  • Have a proven track record of leadership at senior level or middle leader

  • Have the ability to project presence and articulate our vision to all members of the school community;

  • Have a proven track record of change management to secure improved academic standards;
  • Are committed to equality of opportunity and inclusive education;
  • Have the energy, enthusiasm, personal warmth and humour to remain resilient and deliver the above.

In return we can offer:

  • An environment that is fast paced, exciting and innovative, where improvement is encouraged and change is actioned.
  • A rigorous and motivational weekly programme of continuous professional development and a pathway to middle and senior leadership opportunities across the schools in the MAT
  • Leadership development and succession planning
  • Fantastic facilities
  • A supportive and encouraging staff team
  • A long weekend at the end of each November in honour of Saint Catherine’s day (25th November)
