GEMS Royal Dubai school is vibrant Primary School (FS1 – Year 6) with 925 students from over 68 nationalities and accredited as a World Class High Performance Learning School. In our exciting new structure, we are looking for a skilled, ambitious leader with experience of working in an outstanding setting to join our Senior Leadership Team.

The successful candidate will have proven success in driving standards and be committed to the pursuit of excellence for all.  

Key responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • To create, implement, and maintain assessment systems across KS1 and KS2, making perceptive use of all student information.
  • To improve core standards and accountability across these phases, linking with EYFS leads.
  • To produce clear, concise and accurate information on pupil progress to all stakeholders
  • To effectively line manage English, Maths and Science leaders to be successful in raising standards across core areas.
  • Have presence and visibility as a leader, demonstrating resilience where required.
  • To work effectively under pressure with a calm demeanor, role modelling the attributes and qualities of a leader.
  • To work closely with the Assessment Lead in the development, management, and leadership of assessment across the school (including policies, procedures and calendars)
  • To work alongside AHT Learning and Teaching to ensure that teaching staff and Key Stage Leaders confidently interpret and respond to results of N.A.P testing.
  • Embed robust strategies for monitoring the use of assessment across the school, including the collation of accurate assessment information.
  • Ensure systems for tracking and data for learning and analysis are available to all staff and provide appropriate PD to ensure systems are understood and used effectively.
