Are you an aspiring school leader who is looking for the next career move? The governors of this highly successful school are seeking to appoint an enthusiastic and dynamic Assistant Head teacher. The successful candidate will join an experienced, committed and innovative Leadership Team, who are relentless in achieving the best for pupils. You will be given great autonomy in your role, as leader for a whole Key Stage and a curriculum area in the school. You will have a light teaching commitment but with SLT time to contribute to school improvement initiatives and directly raise standards. With our motto of ‘Inspire and Achieve’, you will model our positive values through excellent relationships with children and adults alike.
We welcome applications from experienced senior leaders or experienced outstanding middle leaders who demonstrate exemplary classroom practice and the ability to motivate, positively challenge and embed ambition in others. You must have experience of leading a curriculum or pastoral area, including evidence of reviewing and effectively developing school policy. An ability and expertise in Foundation Stage would be desirable but is not essential.
We will offer the newly appointed AHT, a range of opportunities, supportive teamwork and tailored CPD to promote you as a highly effective school leader. Many of our current leaders have achieved qualifications such as NPQSL, NPQH and NPQML with our coaching and support. This post has arisen due to promotion of the current AHT. We have extensive and attractive school grounds and easy transport links, near to the A40. Furthermore, we offer all staff a healthcare scheme.
