Assistant Head Teacher for Inclusion (SENCo)

Grange Park Primary School is looking for an enthusiastic, inspirational Assistant Headteacher for Inclusion (SENCo) to join our highly supportive team. ‘Creating foundations for bright futures’ is our motto, where we foster a nurturing environment and every child is encouraged to find their own voice and grow as a person, while developing a lifelong love for learning. See below Job purpose: 

• Lead the day-to-day operations of our school's provision for pupils with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND), including those with Social, Emotional, and Mental Health (SEMH) needs, 'Vulnerable Learners,' and Pupil Premium. 
• Provide professional guidance to ensure high-quality teaching, effective resource utilization, and improved standards of achievement for SEND pupils. 
• Collaborate with colleagues to enhance understanding of the school curriculum's impact on SEND policy, fostering improved teaching and learning school-wide. 
• Contribute to promoting and overseeing high standards of teaching, learning, and achievement through inclusive practices for SEND pupils.
• Serve as the school’s Designated Teacher for Looked After (LAC) and Previously Looked After Children (PLAC), actively promoting the educational achievement of these pupils. 
• Additionally, play a key role in the School's Designated Safeguarding Team.
