The City of Leicester College requires two Assistant Head Teachers for the start of the new academic year or sooner if possible.

As a result of the imminent retirement of one of our Deputy Heads, an increase in student numbers and the desire for succession planning, we are appointing two new Assistant Head Teachers to join our successful, committed, innovative Senior Leadership Team.

The successful candidates will play a significant strategic role in securing improved outcomes for all learners and this post will be an exceptional stepping stone to Deputy Head and Headship.

The responsibilities include:

  • Leading a team of Middle Leaders to ensure improved results across the College (KS3 or KS4)
  • To ensure the cohorts achieve at least in line with national expectations
  • To ensure an effective curriculum offer
  • To quality assure an effective pastoral programme
  • To ensure the standard of behaviour in the Key Stage promotes effective learning and a respectful calm learning environment
  • To lead transition systems and practices.
