The opportunity

This is an outstanding opportunity for a highly able and aspiring leader to assume a Senior Management position in a leading HMC School. This role will suit a candidate who is exceptionally motivated and committed to making an impact and offering work of the highest quality as NULS strives to reach ever greater heights. This position provides the successful candidate with the opportunity to assume a core pastoral leadership role and to provide strategic direction and day to day coordination of the co-curricular aspect of school life.

NULS was founded c.1602 and its academic calibre is renowned in the region. In 2020, NULS’ exceptional results of 74% Grade 7-9 at GCSE with 37% Grade 9, and 89% A*-B at Advanced Level with 68% A*-A, not only led in Staffordshire once again but built upon the standards that have acquired the school a Top 50 ranking in national league tables. NULS also holds the highest ratings possible under full ISI Education Quality Inspection, undertaken in March 2020. Our 30 acre campus enables the School to benefit from impressive facilities for teaching, learning and co-curricular provision across our Prep and Senior Schools. The school has embarked on an ambitious development programme, ‘NULS 2025’, to build on its academic strengths, and wishes to appoint a new Assistant Head Pastoral and Co-curricular as the present incumbent moves to lead the School’s Sixth Form. Prospective candidates will already be able to demonstrate considerable leadership experience, with this role suiting ambitious candidates who may aspire to Deputy Headship in the future.
