Cuckoo Hall Academy Trust is currently looking for an outstanding Assistant Head Teacher to lead on SEND and Inclusion. It is a very exciting opportunity for the right candidate to work in partnership with the Headteacher of Enfield Heights Academy and Kingfisher Hall Academy to positively influence the 700 children who attend the schools. Your time will be split between the two schools to oversee Inclusion in both.

The Assistant Headteacher will be a part of a new, dynamic and effective leadership team who work collaboratively to ensure the best outcomes for the children of both schools. You will promote the vision, ethos and policies of the schools in order to maintain and secure outstanding teaching, effective learning and high standards of attendance, achievement and behaviour.

You will need to be enthusiastic, passionate and dedicated to Primary education and possess effective leadership skills with a growing team. Committed to providing an outstanding service you will help the Trust grow the provision with vision and creativity, working collaboratively across multiple teams whilst meeting the growing needs of the community. Some of the key responsibilities will be:

• To assist the Head Teacher in the leadership and management of the school in key aspects of school improvement. 

• To take full responsibility for leading and managing accelerated progress for all SEN, PP, G+T and EAL pupils 

• To take responsibility for leading and managing inclusion ensuring all children flourish under our care and guidance 

• To be a lead professional ensuring all staff are fully supported 

• To support PGCE students, NQTs and all other staff when required 

• To be able to model quality first teaching so teachers fully understand how to meet the needs of children with SEND in their classes.  To organise and monitor various interventions.

• To be a role model to all staff and exemplify Teachers Standards and Professionalism 

• To undertake annual Performance Management, setting and agreeing targets linked to school development plan and setting priorities with the Head Teacher

You will have a proactive approach to researching and implementing change to keep in line with the ever-evolving educational sector. Parents, carers and colleagues must find you approachable, empathetic at the same able to produce results.
