We are seeking to appoint an Assistant Head Teacher leading on pastoral inclusion, to join our senior leadership team in September 2022.
As a growing 3 form entry school, this is an exceptional professional opportunity for a new Assistant Head Teacher to play a leading role at an exciting time in the development of Birkbeck Primary School moving forward to becoming a full three form entry school. Academically, our pupils are thriving, pupil numbers are growing, with full reception classes in September and there is an ambitious strategic plan. In September 2022, all year groups from reception through Year 3 will have 3 classes.
The Assistant Head Teacher role is designed for a candidate who can work alongside senior leaders to determine the strategic development of special educational needs (SEN) policy and provision in the school and who would be responsible for the day-to-day operation of the SEN policy and co-ordination of specific provision to support individual pupils with SEN or a disability, providing professional guidance to colleagues, working closely with staff, parents and other agencies . The successful candidate will show themselves to be someone who can clearly implement and drive improvement in teaching and leadership practice of others and who thrives on creating opportunities for young people to ‘Dream, Believe, Achieve,’ aspiring to deputy headship in due course.
