GEMS Royal Dubai school is vibrant Primary School (FS1 – Year 6) with 925 students from over 68 nationalities and accredited as a World Class High Performance Learning School. In our exciting new structure, we are looking for a skilled, ambitious leader with experience of working in an outstanding setting to join our Senior Leadership Team.

The successful candidate will be self-motivated, have proven success in driving standards and be committed to the pursuit of excellence for all. 

Key responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Ensure that the ‘Wider Curriculum’ vision is considered in strategic planning and organisation at all levels including working closely with the Exec Team to shape whole school actions and direction.
  • Continue to develop a school-wide strategy for the National Curriculum for England Foundation Subjects, MOE Subject (Social Studies and Moral Education) and other aspects e.g., entrepreneurship; that is forward thinking, embracing new approaches to learning and technology and preparing students for the future.
  • Champion adaptation in curriculum design, planning and delivery of these subjects ensuring students experience exceptional learning opportunities in enabling environments through our HPL philosophy.
  • To lead, develop and enhance the teaching practices of others by observing, modelling, team-teaching, and offering guidance – supporting teachers’ professional growth.
  • Continually evaluate Wider Curriculum content and review its effectiveness in achieving the required standards.
  • Lead on one aspect, and effectively line manage other Wider Curriculum leads, ensuring that the highest of professional and academic standards are achieved in relation to national and international benchmarks.
  • Evaluate innovative development in line with KHDA frameworks by effective contribution to the schools Self Evaluation Form and other documents.
