Results in 2019 for progress place the school in the top 15% schools in England, 3rd in the borough and the school was awarded Croydon Secondary School of the Year 2019.

Our school is expanding and so is our leadership team. Therefore we are seeking to appoint two additional Assistant Head’s to develop strategies that will maintain excellent outcomes for students and support staff across the school.

Applicants should be experienced teachers with proven leadership skills and demonstrable knowledge with regard to either pastoral (this role will include being DSL) or data and analysis. You will be an effective decision maker, have excellent organisation skills and lead by example. The post holder will have some class teaching responsibilities (circa 0.5), oversee line management of a faculty, carry out lesson observations, participate in duty rotas during and after school, assist with parent evenings & meetings and contribute to the school development plan. Applicants may wish to apply for both roles and should refer to the specific person specification for key knowledge and skills required.

We are a fully inclusive school that is dedicated to both supporting and challenging all members of our diverse community and to develop the potential in all our students, no matter what their starting point.

Pastoral care is also of the highest importance and we are committed to providing the best possible learning environment to develop confident, independent learners. We are also committed to providing an appropriate, ambitious and broad curriculum as well as ensuring that students have opportunities outside the classroom to develop and inspire them, including a wide range of extracurricular activities.

The successful candidate will benefit from a wide range of CPD opportunities and an opportunity to extend their own leadership potential within the MAT.

The full job description is included in the information pack which can be found on the “work for us” page of the school website https://www.nmbec.org.uk/schooljobs
