Derby Cathedral School is looking for an enthusiastic, innovative and inspiring Assistant Headteacher.
Having opened in the centre of Derby in September 2018, the 11-18 school now has 2 year groups of 180 students with another 180 set to join in September 2020. The school is scheduled for annual growth up to 1200 students including 300 in the Sixth Form and is currently oversubscribed. The school will move to a state of the art, purpose-built site in the 2020/21 academic year.
The successful candidate will join the Senior Leadership Team in leading the school through rapid expansion in both student numbers and staffing, with a focus on pupil progress, data and pupil premium.
Our ideal candidate will have at least three years of proven strong, successful leadership and management experience in a secondary school. This is a unique and exciting opportunity for the right candidate to make a real impact on the establishment of an outstanding new education facility within Derby.
Derby Cathedral School is part of the wider family of schools within the Diocese of Derby and Derby Diocesan Academy Trust (DDAT), both of which offer valuable CPD opportunities.
This appointment is subject to teachers’ national terms of pay and conditions (STPCD).
