Post: Assistant Headteacher/Director of English

Pay scale: L12 to L16

Based at: Cockburn School 

We are seeking to recruit a highly motivated and exceptional leader with a proven track record of raising attainment, to drive the English curriculum and student performance across the secondary provision of Cockburn Multi-academy Trust. 

We invite applications from candidates who are passionate about English and who are outcomes focused, with the commitment and energy to continue our work and strategically lead a Trust wide English curriculum that will secure excellent outcomes at the end of KS4. We are looking for applicants with a strong presence; who is ambitious for students, their colleagues and the schools/academies. 

You will be working closely with the Senior Leadership Teams that have driven transformational change in outcomes across the Trust. You will have real input to strategy and success, you will report directly to the Head of Schools and Executive Headteacher.

This post would be ideal for anyone with successful English Leadership experience or Senior Leadership experience with ambition and drive, a clear vision of what constitutes excellence in a large secondary school department and who sees a wider Senior Leadership position as the next step in their career.
