The Head Teacher and Governors are seeking to appoint a highly effective and inspiring leader who is looking to develop their leadership and management experience and contribute towards the management of Teaching and Learning across the school. The post will commence in the summer term, April 2021.

The successful applicant will have a track record of using and applying evidence-based teaching and learning strategies.

They are able to demonstrate sound knowledge of and successful engagement with the latest research in teaching and learning. They will actively monitor and respond to teaching and learning developments and initiatives at national, regional and local levels and disseminate this knowledge to staff. Their own teaching practice will be exemplary and they will have coached classroom-based staff at all stages. They will be able to identify and target underachieving pupils and implement effective strategies for raising achievement and improving outcomes. The successful candidate will be able to enthuse, engage, motivate and challenge pupils and staff, be forward thinking and passionate about raising standards, as well as continually developing teaching and learning practice.

Holte School is an oversubscribed, diverse, multi-racial, 11-18 community school who holds the IQM Flagship School Award. The school co-sponsors Blue Coat Church of England Academy in Walsall and also works in partnership with Lozells Primary School.

The school is on a shared site with both a primary and a special school, with plans to develop our sixth form facilities.

The school's ethos emphasises high quality teaching to achieve excellence and enable its students to maximise their potential.
